TerraPower and HD Hyundai have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at scaling the global manufacturing supply chain for TerraPower's Natrium reactor components. The agreement combines HD Hyundai's extensive manufacturing expertise with TerraPower's innovative reactor technology, paving the way for large-scale production and global deployment of Natrium plants.

The partnership focuses on building new supply chain capacity to support the commercialization of Natrium plants, which feature a sodium-cooled fast reactor and an integrated energy storage system. The agreement with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, a shipbuilding affiliate of HD Hyundai, builds upon an existing relationship established in 2024, when the company was selected to develop the reactor vessel for the first Natrium plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
