BDACS Officially Issues KRW1 Stablecoin, Completes Proof of Concept
BDACS, a Korean blockchain infrastructure firm, announced on September 18, 2025, the official issuance of its Korean won-backed stablecoin KRW1, successfully completing its Proof of Concept by validating the full lifecycle from collateral deposit to blockchain issuance and verification on Avalanche.
KRW1, trademarked in 2023, is backed 1:1 by reserves held in commercial banks with real-time API verification, ensuring transparency and trust. Beyond token issuance, BDACS built a management system and mobile app for peer-to-peer transfers and on-chain validation, positioning KRW1 as a universal stablecoin for remittances, payments, investments, and even public-sector applications. With the Digital Asset Basic Act on the horizon, BDACS plans to advance KRW1 as a standard for stablecoin technology and pursue global partnerships.
