Hyundai Motor’s MobED Wins Best of Innovation Award at CES 2026

On January 4, Hyundai Motor Company announced that its next-generation autonomous mobility robot platform, MobED (Mobile Eccentric Droid), won the Best of Innovation Award in the Robotics category at CES 2026. Presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the award recognizes top-scoring products for innovation, design, and engineering excellence, marking Hyundai Motor’s first-ever CES Innovation Award and its highest level of recognition to date.

MobED was recognized for its eccentric wheel-based Drive-and-Lift module that ensures stable movement on uneven terrain, along with its modular design supporting applications such as delivery, logistics, and filming. Available in Basic and Pro versions, the Pro model features AI-based autonomous driving using LiDAR-camera sensor fusion for safe navigation in complex environments, with mass production and sales scheduled to begin in the first quarter of this year.
