HLB Life Science announced on August 1 that it has officially canceled its planned merger with HLB due to shareholder appraisal rights claims exceeding the 40 billion KRW threshold set in the agreement. Originally aimed at consolidating rivoceranib rights and improving efficiency, the merger was approved in July but deemed unviable after a board meeting. Both companies will remain independent, with HLB Life Science affirming its commitment to a stronger strategic partnership with HLB despite the termination.
